Lawyer
Insula Capital is an independent and leading fund management company based in Lisbon, currently managing more than €1.9 billion in assets across 25 investment funds, including real estate investment companies, venture capital funds and other investment vehicles.
As part of the Legal Department, the professional to be recruited will actively participate in the regular advisory work for the management company and the vehicles under its management.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide cross-cutting legal advice on the activities of Insula Capital and the collective investment undertakings under its management
Monitor investment and divestment transactions, the development and commercial exploitation of assets
Structure, review and negotiate commercial, corporate and transactional contracts (including share deals and asset deals)
Support matters of company law, governance and the operation of investment vehicles
Ensure the legal and regulatory framework applicable to the activity of the management company and the collective investment undertakings, including supervisory matters
Draft legal opinions and support due diligence processes
Coordinate and liaise on processes with external advisers, including law firms and consultants
PROFILE
Law degree and active registration with the Bar Association
Relevant professional experience in the areas of real estate, commercial and corporate law
Experience or exposure to collective investment undertakings and their regulation (preferred)
High technical rigour, analytical skills and attention to detail
Ability to manage multiple matters in a dynamic and demanding environment
Strong sense of responsibility, autonomy and team spirit
Proficiency in English (mandatory requirement)
